Wat Tham Tha Ko Orphanage Foundation, located in Khao Samo Khon Subdistrict, Lopburi Province, serves as a sanctuary for over 250 underprivileged children, offering them food, shelter, and education. The temple is in urgent need of essentials such as rice, dry food, fresh produce, mattresses, clothing, and toys for the children. The living conditions are challenging, with rooms in disrepair and poor hygiene—issues stemming from limited resources rather than neglect.
On May 16, 2024, Act Now responded to this need by delivering crucial supplies to the Wat Tham Tha Ko Orphanage Foundation. Our team provided a range of essential items aimed at improving the children's living conditions. We brought fans to cool the small children's rooms, ensuring a more comfortable environment, especially during the hot months. Understanding the importance of play in child development, we also supplied developmental toys to stimulate their growth and learning.
A critical need we addressed was the sleeping arrangements. The children had been using old, thin mattresses, so we provided new rubber mattresses to ensure they get a better night's sleep. Additionally, we supported the orphanage with fresh and dry foods, including pork, chicken, noodles, seasonings, and cooking oil, to enhance their nutrition and provide a variety of meals.
