Act Now conducted an audit trip to Chinat province in northeastern Thailand to support children in 13 schools across Chiang Klang, Pua, and Na Noi districts, benefiting 1,307 impoverished children. Poverty in northern Thailand, especially among indigenous hill tribe villagers, remains critical. With over 3,500 villages and 750,000 people in remote highlands, basic services like electricity, transport, schools, and healthcare are scarce. Many children, especially in Nan, work in fields instead of attending school, with boys leaving by age 14 to work as laborers and girls striving to finish high school before seeking city jobs. That’s why we must help these children to give them a chance at education, better opportunities, and a brighter future. From August 18–22, 2024, we provided dry food, school supplies, first aid kits, computers, sports equipment, water coolers, water pumps, televisions, and kitchenware. We also funded a canteen renovation, a chicken farm, an agriculture project, a budget for toilet construction, and a budget for kitchen repairs. With full support from local teachers, we believe that improving the environment and resources for children will enhance their quality of life and empower them to shape a brighter future.
