Uttaradit province is located in lower Northern of Thailand. It is our first time to provide our assistance in Uttaradit. We contacted to the Primary Education Center Area 1 for the list of the poor schools. We planned to assess 15 schools in 3 districts, which are included Pichai, Thongsaenkhan and Lablae. These children were from poor family and some of them live in bad environment. Our assessment trip held in January 2020. After the assessment, we found out that each schools had various problems but the most needed were education and hygiene supply such as computer, sports equipment or even cleaning materials. Furthermore, some schools had the problem about the construction like toilet that was not enough for children and dilapidated.
We discussed about all the problems that we did an assessment and decided to support them for education that important for their physical and mental development such as educational game, computer, library book , etc. For hygiene, we provided them cleaning materials, the water tanks that vital during the drought period, water filter, water cooler, etc. Moreover, we supported them for toilet construction and toilet renovation for children for good hygiene. We supported the budget for playground and agriculture project as well so the school will have income from this project and could be benefits for lunch meal. The number of children of our assistance in this project reached to 2,493 children. We are delighted to be part of their happiness. We hope that our supported would be useful for them to have a better quality of life and we looking forward to visit them the next time.
