The 2026 Phetchabun Educational Support Project was established to assist 14 underprivileged schools across five districts: Nong Phai, Chon Daen, Wichian Buri, Bueng Sam Phan, and Si Thep with the goal of enhancing the quality of life and learning for 1,361 students. Our team conducted a thorough needs assessment and personally oversaw the delivery of all essential resources between March 9 and 13, 2026.
The project identified several critical challenges, including dilapidated and unsafe playground equipment, school buildings prone to flooding, and deteriorating sanitation facilities. Additionally, a significant technological gap was observed, with a severe shortage of computers for digital learning and televisions required for Distance Learning (DLTV). Urgent hygiene and nutrition concerns were also noted, such as a lack of clean drinking water systems, unsanitary toothbrushing stations, and a deficiency of basic equipment in both canteens and medical rooms. With a steadfast commitment to addressing these needs directly, the support was categorized into three primary pillars. For educational support, we provided desktop computers, instructional televisions, new playground sets, library books, and developmental toys, as well as various sports gear including specialized fencing equipment to offer students new skill-building opportunities. To improve infrastructure and hygiene, the project funded the construction of new sinks and toothbrushing stations, toilet renovations, and the installation of water filtration systems and coolers.
We also supported the construction of water barriers to prevent flooding within classroom buildings. Furthermore, the project delivered items to enhance overall student welfare, such as refrigerators, rice cookers, stainless steel trays, and new dining furniture to replace damaged items, alongside replenished first-aid kits and medical cabinets. These collective efforts have successfully transformed scarcity into equitable educational opportunities, bringing sustainable smiles to students and teachers throughout Phetchabun.
