Phichit Province is in the lower northern region of Thailand. Most of the kids come from families that don't have much money. A lot of them still don't have the things they need for school. Their parents mostly work in jobs that don't pay very well, like farming or factories, which makes it hard to give their kids a good life. Some schools get help from the government, but others rely on donations from people in the community while they wait for official help and the number of children makes it difficult for government budgets to provide thorough support for the children.
Therefore, the Act Now team has started a project in Phichit Province with an implementation period of September– November 2024, with all of us helping. 14 schools in 4 districts: Mueang District, Pho Thale District, Dong Charoen District, and Bueng Narang District, which support all 3 areas: education, hygiene, nutrition, and budget for building repairs. This is because some school buildings are old and pose a danger to children. Drinking water is not enough to meet the needs of children, teaching media, including basic learning materials for children. We see the need for these items and hope they can help schools and children develop other skills and increase their ability to learn. Including basic safety and good hygiene, appropriate for children.
