Thailand Association of the Blind has worked with organizations to develop the quality of life of persons with visual impairment in all aspects that’s why need to solve the problem and provide assistance to the members when they get in trouble. Nowadays, the main problem of blind people is the effects from COVID-19. It makes their life more difficult and inconvenient. The blind people cannot work as usual, especially blind massage therapists, blind singers and blind musicians. The association has concerned about the troubles that all the blind people in Thailand have to face with but, the association cannot help their members to get through this situation alone because it is non-profit organization.
We saw them and their donation activity on Facebook then Act Now team contacted to the staff that responsible for donation and had a chance to talk to the director of the association and staff there. He informed us that Thailand Association of the Blind has to be as a donation center and distributes all the materials to help more than 5,000 blind people all over Thailand. We provided instant food (ready to eat) such as fish tin, instant noodles, rice, milk and fruit juice because it can save their daily expenses. Moreover, they need to provide alcohol gel to those blind people for cleanliness and safe them from the virus.
